Julia Geynisman-Tan, MD
Dr. Julia Geynisman-Tan is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Northwestern University in 2019 after completing her residency at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell. She is an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Director of Fellow Research for the Division of Urogynecology. She is also the founder and medical director of the ERASE Trafficking Clinic at Northwestern and an asylum evaluator for women who have experienced female genital circumcision. Her clinical interests include treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence and fistulas. Her research interests are in optimizing the perioperative experience for patients and in the intersection of sexual practices and pelvic floor disorders.
