Julia Geynisman-Tan, MD
Dr. Julia Geynisman-Tan is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She completed her fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Northwestern University in 2019 after completing her residency at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell. She is an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Director of Research for the Division of Urogynecology. She is actively involved in NIH-sponsored research and industry-funded studies and acts as a mentor for numerous medical student and fellow research projects. She is also the founder and medical director of the ERASE Trafficking Clinic at Northwestern Medicine and an asylum evaluator for women who have experienced female genital circumcision. She has a busy clinical practice across three hospitals and her clinical interests include the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence, and fistulas.
